It combines all my favorite aspects of tower defense games and RTS games. Its one of my favorite games in my library. Couldn't suggest it more!. This game is Extremely hard. On the "normal" setting I would have died on the Third level if I hadn't used a trainer to keep the main hub alive. I uninstalled and returned it immediately after that.. A Solid Sci-Fi Tower Defence Game that stands on its own legs, taking inspiration from the 60’s, COLD WAR era. MarZ has a bit of a “DOOM” & Command & Conquer feel to it, which is a good thing, sprinkled with some undead and you got yourself a Mars classic. - Single player campaign with 20 levels, a solid Skirmish with “random wave generator” where you can ask the IA to randomly select undead hordes for you. However, you cannot individually select and play around with the waves themselves. So, if you wanted to do hundred BOSSES spawning, you can’t. And things like this hold the game back a bit. Which is a shame, as it’s a good game.- The Story is driven forward, by characters in monolog, fully voiced. The story itself presented to the player during briefing and at the end of each mission. There are no cut scenes or movies, its mostly dialog with narrator mushing thru.- Graphics are rather detailed, good textures when zoomed in, I could have asked for more zoom out on the larger maps. Slow motion is a nice touch with blurred added. I wish we could have used the blurred effect in normal speed, instead of just having it only in slow motion. No atmosphere and weather effects in the background, that's a negative. - I wish the developers would have been bold enough to add online co-op to Tower Defense. Innovating and push the envelope a bit, playing a zombie-tower-defense game with a friends would have made for a lot of fun, who knows maybe even bring more ppl on board. --------------------------------------------------------------------------Some improvements that would make MarZ a better game.- No Unlimited Horde mode, there’re some custom maps in the workshop that try to add Horde mode into its maps, like the “RUSKI TRAINING BUNKER”. - It would be nice if the devs added Unlimited Wave with each wave becoming more difficult.- Wave Generator is nice, but it won’t let u customise specific enemy types that you want in a wave. - Map editor needs “quality of life” improvements. Fog brush is clumsy and hard to use for details, like in crevices or at different heights. In some cases, the geometry doesn’t allow your fog to flow naturally. Fog is missing physics; it acts more like a layer. - Adding event triggers to the map editor could help to create eventful customs missions. - The editor is missing undo, redo, go back or delete function, right now you have to save your map, make a mistake and load the map up again. its enjoying! Pls fix it.- There are no world PROPS in the Map editor. The campaign missions have assets like bunkers and other interesting relics. Why not add them to the map editor?- Missing Weather, which is strange cause last time I checked, Mars has seasonal changes and observable weather patterns. Adding dust storms, small tornadoes to raging ice winds with snow fall, which consists primarily of carbon dioxide snow. - Why not add Radiation Aurora that appear in the Mars atmosphere “Similar to the northern lights” for more cinematic background instead of the drab fog we have now? - The walls you build in Outbreak mode can only be built one directional, it's quite frustrating to use, as you cannot build walls in diagonal. Pls fix this.- The Building circle for your capsule shows building area but in reality, it’s blocking character or vehicle animation, so if you build or send units to the edge for your build area the animation will stop half way and the units will teleport into the structure instead of completing their loop. - A Free build mode where you’re not limited by the building area would be nice to see implemented. I don’t see why that should be a problem, considering that the limiting factors right now is kill count, in some rounds my games have ended earlier because I reach a kill count, instead of eliminating all enemy’s.Overall a good game, with some improvements still needing to be made. Recommend the game highly if you are into undead, or just have a zombie fetish!. Fun to play if you have some time to throw around late game could use some tweaking 7/11. Great game - Worth the price of admission!- There are some negative reviews out there, yes. The game is not perfect... but its constantly being worked on by the active DEVs. I've played for hours... Its a great mash of Tower Defense and RTS. - If you are on the fence... I'd suggest you give it a try. Its better value than spending $20 at a fast food restaurant.Great work Devs!. The game still needs some polishing, but it provides good enough challange for those, that like TD games.For me, it was quite refreshing to have a tactical pause, even if it's not possible to anything with full pause, you can analize the situation if things go wrong and you can prepare some quich actions still if you have the superweapons available; there's also the slow mode, where you can do things and have time to react to things.It also has some refreshing RTS elements and the lack of the TD's forced labirinth theme was also good, even if it seems a bit too plain for first, it can be easily solved later with some simple terrain modifications, like highgrounds and some fissures to give the right ammount of terrain to use for the players.The story is both strange and funny, I think most people Will enjoy it, there's nothing extreme, but it's not bad.The game has a good core in terms of mechanics and potential for the future in the forms of either moddability or expansions… or both :)If you like TD games and a bit slower paced RTS games, then buy it. It's well worth the full price, but I'm noone to say you couldn't wait for a discount.It's an already good enough game with even more potential, I can only hope, that the 2 devs will use this potential well and move the game into the right direction in it's future updates.The also frequently communicate with the players through the forums, which is always a good sign for any game, considering it's future.. Very intuitive and fun to play. I'm having fun time solving puzzles and feeling awesome. Just hope it has more modes, especially endless one.
